Oct 7th 2009 was a sweet and memorable day for us.After Mahatma Gandhi, only Dr Abdul Kalam at the age of 77, is able to attract large number of youth across the Nation. Nowadays, even the youngsters from US and European countries are keen in listening to Dr Kalam.His various communication strategies, body language, voice modulation, eye contact, etc were simply adorable. Action 2020 Team of India Vision online group(we are privileged that SAARAL is one among it), had the opportunity of meeting Dr Kalam on 7th October 09.

Everyone felt that they interacted with Dr Kalam

The introduction part and Dr Kalam speech, etc. took nearly 1 hour. He was spending around 15 minutes for receiving the brochures, signing autographs, etc.Nearly 70 members participated in this event. Almost all of them could talk to Dr Kalam. This is an amazing experience of communication.whenever all the names were read out by the Core Team, the concerned persons stood up and greeted Dr Kalam. In some cases, Dr Kalam repeated the names or got the names second time from the announcer. Then he smiled at the concerned person. Probably, the smile and repetition of the name could have given them an immense level of communication and satisfaction.

With great respect, we thank Mr. Prime Point Srinivasan & the coordinators - Poonima, Siva, Ravi, Natarajan for organizing a great event which every group member felt as the happiest & most memorable & valuable moment in their life time.

We want to share our experience with Dr kalam sir, simplest man with great beauty, the living & moving role model of Give as much as you can, Visioner, Powerful personality, Ignites minds of every one ( from 100 years Swamiji to 1 year baby).

We had around 1 1/2 hour time (90 sweetest memorable minutes) with Dr APJ. The meet started with Introduction about the teams, then informal meeting style with great closeness & comfortness.

Dr APJsir saw, Smiled on each members face, involved deeply in listening the introduction speech, appreciated each teams goal & mission & blessed us with his great smile.



Points Insisted by Dr APJ Sir:

1. Participate in Lead India movement- More children need to take 10 point oath; there by develop strong human value, good citizen as part of India vision 2020.

2. Participate in Improving the watershed project, start from the tanks near by you.

3. Plant trees (Min 5 per child)

Dr APJ sir's tips for personnel care:-

Eat fibrous food (more vegetarian food)

Regular aerobic exercise or involve in games with more body movements.

Practice meditation, prayer for mind relaxation.

Members & groups, we need to develop "simplicity, honesty, kind heart, sharing" more with in us. Give as much as you can & get in return the everlasting peace & happiness.

We should be proud to say that we are Indians, from the country where Dr APJ sir is from.
